WEEK 14 REPORT W/E 18TH FEBRUARY

18/02/2022

DIvision 1
Elaine Danson and Andy Davis split both their mixed but these were the only games that Pilling won as they suffered a big home defeat against Lightning A who cruised to a 22-2 victory. Natalie Appleyard and Lee Williams won all their 8 games.

Division 2
Hesketh Fleetwood B march confidently towards Division 1 after another huge win, this time against Lids. The 23-1 win means they have only conceded 1 or 2 games in 9 of their 10 matches! Nicky Percy conceded the fewest points, slightly ahead of Sheena Carberry. Ling Fang and James Norman with the solitary mixed win for Lids.

Despite the ladies scores being close, Project 12 still managed to win 4, together with all 6 mens against Stanley B. They consolidated this good start with another 10 games in the mixed. Kathy Howard was, once again, top scorer for Stanley with 3 games, but Jon Jackson and John Wright shared the honours by winning all 8 games.

Levels
Hesketh Fleetwood and Lightning fielded probably the 2 strongest teams ever seen in the levels league. Helped by Lightning having to concede 2 games, Hesketh won a hard fought game 10-6 to maintain their unbeaten start and move to the top of the division. Lightning earn a consolation point. Richard Percival was the most successful player for HF with 6 wins from 8 games but, unusually the best player on the night was from the losing team as Lightning's Lee Williams who won all his 6 games played.
