Monday night saw a top of the table clash between two unbeaten teams Kingfisher B and Lids B which ended with a narrow 14-10 win for the home team.Their ladies were the main difference winning 5 whilst the mens ended 3-3. Lids were unable to make up any ground in the mixed which ended 6-6.Kingfisher's top pair of Lynne Williams and James de Wolf both won 7 and James Leigh won 5 for Lids.

Match of the week featured two mid table teams Fleetwood B and Project 12 and saw the lead change hands several times. The home men won 5 whilst the away women also won 5 for a half time score of 6-6! Onto the mixed where Fleetwood won the first set and with the next two sets split they led 10-8 before P12 hit back for 10-10.Fleetwood replied by winning the next set to put them in sight of victory but P12 responded with the last 2 games for a well deserved and hard fought draw.Derek Hill with 6 for Fleetwood but Sarah Coultas was the star of the match for P12 winning 7. Three settings - all won by Fleetwood reflected this even match.

Division leaders Hesketh A consolidated their top position with a 16-8 win over the unfortunate Pilling B who were a lady missing and therefore had to concede 8 games.Andy Manson won 6/6 for Hesketh and Jane Grey won 5/6 for Pilling.

Kirkham Charter B v Stanley B was a good close fought match which either side could have won but ended in a 10-14 win for the visitors.Despite winning 4 ladies Kirkham found themselves 4-8 down after all the mens were won by Stanley. The mixed ended 6-6 to at least give Kirkham their first point of the season. All Stanleys's men P.Marshall, S.Whyatt and J.Meakin won 6 but the player of the match was Penny Page with a great effort - winning 7 games for the losing team.

An experienced Project 12 team were much too strong for Albany and were 15-0 ahead before Steve Tivey and Gregor Creelman won the last game to avoid a whitewash. Paul Whitehouse and John Wright with all 8.

A strong Warton A came way with a comfortable 13-3 win against Stanley with Adrian Speakman winning 8 and both Rob Lee and Neil Pemberton winning 2 for the losing team.

In a closer contest Warton B managed a 10-6 home victory against Fleetwood. After taking an early lead 5-1 Warton were pegged back when Fleetwood won the next 4. However Warton finished the stronger winning 5 of the final 6 games. Jenish Prajapati and Kashyap Parekh were the stars for Warton for winning 6 and Tai Yay won 5 for Fleetwood.

In order to try and speed up the report could all home team captains please copy me in when sending their scorecards. If they could send them by Saturday at the latest then this will ensure that their own match report is included.
In addition I apologise if I have misspelt anyone's names but not all scorecards are easy to read! Please let me know.
Finally, if anyone wishes to send a short report of their match perhaps 1-2 sentences then that would be most useful. There are 2 clubs that already do this so many thanks to Kirkham and Lids.

Thanks
