WEEK 19 REPORT W/E 25TH MARCH

Division 1
Kingfisher A finish their matches in 3rd place after a 23-1 win over Pilling. Jane Gray and Andy Davies with the solitary mixed win 28-26! Jess Logue with 8 wins had the fewest points conceded.

Poulton’s 22-2 win over Kingfisher B maintains their 2 point advantage over Hesketh Fleetwood with their deciding match next week! Rebecca Dewhurst and Callum Grayson won a set for Kingfisher but Poulton’s Dawn Whitby had the best points score.

Hesketh Fleetwood beat bottom team Lightning B 24-0 with their usual players all winning 8. HF must beat Poulton to retain their title.

Division 2
Lids move off the bottom for the first time this season after emphatically beating their relegation rivals Stanley B 18-6. Lids always looked like winning after they won 11 level games which was consolidated with 7 mixed. Mark Green the POTM for winning the maximum 8 games. Kathy Howard the only Stanley player to win half their games.

Project 12 trailed 7-5 after the levels but their mixed strength saw them win 8 to just get over the line against Hesketh Fleetwood C. This was a very close match which included 4 settings! Pernelle Yates won 3 ladies and 3 mixed and teammate Jon Jackson won 2 mens and all 4 mixed for Project. Diane Atkinson and Eddie Choudhury were the top scorers from HF with 5.

Kirkham Charter B beat their A team 16-8 ! Taking a narrow 7-5 lead from the levels they lost the first set but then won 9 of the next 10 games for a famous victory! Amelia Parker from the A won 7 but Jamie Sedgwick was the best performer on the night as he won all 8.

Levels
Lightning had a good 12-4 win over Lids which,not only moves them into 2nd place, but also denies their rivals a bonus point. Lee Williams and Rob Cockerill won 7 for Lightning - Will Booth won 4 games for Lids.

Champions Hesketh Fleetwood bagelled struggling Bloomfield to continue their dominating season. Ant Cross conceded the fewest points on the night.
