Week 7 Report W/E 25th October

27/10/2019

Division 1
No games

Division 2
League leaders Pilling B easily overcame league strugglers Kirkham Charter A 23-1. Only a Richard Pascucci and Ian Chase split in the men's prevented a whitewash although Kirkham were hampered by an injury which meant they had to concede 4 mixed games. Kirkham remain rooted at the foot of the table whilst the win and 3 points takes Pilling clear at the top. Alison Crosbie won all her 8 games and was statistically the games best player.

Lids A first defeat of the season was described as a disaster especially after failing to win the 8 games for a bonus point! However, Project 12 were worthy winners after dominating the levels 9-3 and consolidating in the mixed 8-4. Jon Jackson won 7 games and was the POTM. Lisa Musson was the only Lids player who managed to win half the games. Project move above Lids into 3rd spot.

Going into the match Hesketh B and Albany B were looking for their first win. As they were level on points, and separated by only 1 game, a close match was anticipated. The visitors got off to a good start winning 4 of the 6 games in both ladies and the mens, putting them 8-4 up. At the start of the mixed Hesketh won 3 out of 4 but Albany finished strongly winning 4 of the last 6 for a much needed win 15-9. Albany's Lorna Hopper won 7 whilst Jill McMillan and Steve Blackburn replied with 5 each for Hesketh.

Division 3
Disappointed with relegation last season, Stanley A look set for a quick return after easily defeating Kingfisher C in the only match played this week. Stanley dropped 1 ladies and 2 mixed in their 21-3 win. This result meant Stanley have now averaged an impressive 20 games per match whilst maintaining their 100% record. Despite the score, Kingfisher fought hard and there were many close games. Debbie Oddy was involved in all Kingfisher's wins whilst most of Stanley's team won 7 but Lee Meakin was the only player to win all 8.

Levels
Warton A maintained their 100% start after winning 16-0 against a Broughton team who weren't helped by being a player short.

Fleetwood were handed a 16-0 win after Warton C conceded.
